• All Fairfax County public schools will open two hours late on Thursday, Jan. 29. All offices will open on time. Morning (half-day) kindergarten will be dismissed one hour later than the usual time. Afternoon (half-day) kindergarten will begin one hour later than the usual time. Morning preschool (special education) and morning double session Family and Early Childhood Education (Head Start) classes are cancelled. Afternoon preschool and double session Family and Early Childhood Education (Head Start) classes start on their regular schedule. Full-day preschool (special education) and Family and Early Childhood (Head Start) classes start two hours later than the regular schedule. Morning field trips are cancelled. School Age Child Care (SACC) centers will open by 8 a.m.
  
  
• All after-school activity bus service for Loudoun County Public Schools will be cancelled for Tuesday, December 16th. All LCPS athletic practices and events have been cancelled.
  
  
• Due to inclement weather, Alexandria City Public Schools will dismiss early today.  Secondary schools, grades 6-12, will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Elementary schools will dismiss at 1 p.m.  All afternoon and evening activities are cancelled.
  
  
• Office of Personnel Management: The following message applies only to Monday, March 2, 2009. Federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are OPEN under a DELAYED ARRIVAL\UNSCHEDULED LEAVE policy. Employees should plan to arrive for work no more than 2 hours later than they would normally arrive.
